If one thing is clear, it is the fact that the legal system is only expanding. This means that legal jobs of all types abound and will continue to do so in the future. Whether you're an attorney, a paralegal or you provide legal support, there are plenty of offices ready to hire you. ICS, one of the fastest growing private companies in America, can help you find the legal position you've been dreaming of.

Careers in the Legal Field

The education required for a legal career depends on which type of job you're looking for. For a position as a paralegal or legal assistant, an associate's degree is all that is required. Law firms, government agencies, and corporations are the most likely to hire people for this job. If you want a position as an attorney, the educational requirements are far greater. You'll need a doctorate or equivalent professional degree. You'll also need to have skills at dealing directly with clients, understanding the law, and if you're a trial lawyer, you'll need skill at presenting cases to the court.

Salary Ranges for Legal Jobs

For a paralegal or assistant, the pay is better than may be expected for an entry-level position: the median pay in 2010 was $46,680 per year according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The same bureau reports that the median pay for a full-fledged lawyer was $112,760 that same year. Of course, the pay varies greatly within each legal profession category. Your education level, ability, and skill at negotiations have a lot to do with how much you actually earn. Put ICS to work for you to find the best opportunities that match your skill level.

Legal Placements

ICS has an exemplary track record of placing legal professionals in a variety of positions, including:

  • Associates (Junior, Mid-Level, Senior)
  • In-House Counsel (Junior, Senior)
