Job Description - Business Project Manager - REMOTE

TITLE: Business Project Manager

Location: Remote but an ideal candidate would sit somewhere in Florida. Open to seeing candidates in Georgia. Strategic PMO meetings will typically be held at 1 of the Florida locations quarterly and travel to these monthly meetings is expected.



Financial Services experience highly preferred. PMP highly preferred.



The ideal candidate is someone who has recent, significant experience in predictive project management (waterfall or otherwise). Agile understanding is great to have but this client does not need an Agile PM as that is often not the methodology worked in.



The desire is for a PM who is comfortable working outside of a traditional PM role with experience in other business disciplines such as BA, Testing, QA, etc. This person has to exude project management confidence, and is a "roll up your sleeves to get it done” type.



The senior Senior Project Manager in this role will support several key initiatives such as moving a contact center and implementing an online digital loan application.



For someone to be successful in this position you must have experience with highly functional, large, business projects. You will not handle just 1 large project, but more likely have up to 19 small to medium sized projects at once.

Responsibilities for Project Manager

• Determine and define project scope and objectives
• Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
• Prepare budget based on scope of work and resource requirements
• Track project costs in order to meet budget
• Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
• Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
• Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution
• Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed
• Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement

Qualifications for Project Manager

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of project management and related experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
• Proven ability to solve problems creatively
• Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
• Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
• Excellent analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
• Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
