Transaction Monitoring: Perform both transaction and account monitoring of customer activity to detect and manage potential unusual or suspicious transactions. Monitoring to be performed according to the Branch's policies. Alerts must be cleared before deadlines and in accordance with the Branch's policies.
Conduct investigations for potentially suspicious transactions.
File SARs when applicable.
Assist Sr. Compliance Officer with testing of FIS, the Branch's transaction monitoring system.
OFAC hits: Responsible for customer data base scrubs necessary against each OFAC list update. Responsible for clearing alerts resulting from those scrubs. Clear hits associated with OFAC payments filter.
Assist Branch CCO and Sr. Compliance Officer with performing annual business AML and OFAC risk assessments.
Audits and Regulatory Examinations: Assist Branch CCO and Sr. Compliance Officer with requirements of documents for all internal reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations.
Assist Sr. Compliance Officer Responsible with all training of branch and head office employees according to US banking regulations and best practices.
Responsible for responding to all subpoena/law enforcement requests.
Maintain metrics relating to OFAC scrubs, payment hits, 314a requests and transaction monitoring for branch.
Compliance testing: Test key activities within Branch to ensure compliance with U.S. regulations and internal policies. Testing to include AML and non-AML regulatory requirements. Report findings to business for action.
Clear OFAC/sanctions hits for wires, checks, and IATs as necessary.
Responsible for performing annual KYC file reviews if necessary.
Assist Branch CCO and Sr. Compliance Officer with various projects throughout the year.
Perform as back-up for certain tasks performed by the Sr. Compliance Officer and other Compliance Analyst when necessary.
