Enterprise Risk Management Consultant

Job Description:

Enterprise Risk Assessment

-      Assist in managing the bank-wide Enterprise Risk Assessment (ERA) process to ensure effectiveness

-      Evaluate the effectiveness of the ERA process including the overall design, aggregation methodology and responsibilities of all relevant parties

-      Continuously identify areas of improvement for the ERA process and drive the implementation across the bank

-      Review the enterprise risk assessment procedure and

-      Liaison other departments across the Bank to address relevant internal audit findings and regulatory issues (if any)

Strategic and Reputation Risk Management

-      Perform as the 2nd line of defense for Strategic and Reputation Risk, collaborate with FLUs in identifying, assessing and monitoring strategic and reputation risk

-      Assess strategic and reputation risk in the new product/activity approval process

-      Update the governance documents, including but not limited to the strategic and reputation risk policies/procedures

-      Design and conduct strategic and reputation risk related trainings

-      Identify improvement areas of strategic and reputation risk management framework, propose and drive specific improvement actions

Research support

-      Conduct research on regulations and industry best practices for U.S. CRO

-      Identify, strategize and write reports on issues or trends in banking/finance industry in risk related area

Job Requirement:

-      Bachelor’s degree is required

-      Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience is required

-      Deep understanding of risk management and risk assessment practices in the banking industry

-      Deep understanding of relevant banking regulations and regulators such as OCC, FRB.

-      Good understanding the relevant financial products and services offered in banking industry, including corporate banking, trade services etc.

-      Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound and balanced judgment

-      Strong verbal and written communication skills with proven capability to effectively discuss and communicate risk management concepts and considerations with the relevant stakeholders as well as prepare formal report and documentation

-      Strong time management skill with capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under tight deadlines

-      Ability to work independently and proactively as well as work with a range of managers, peers and junior colleagues and build strong and productive working relationships
