Job Description - QC Monitoring and Testing Analyst

QC Testing and Monitoring Analyst





Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and testing of the entire compliance function to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies/procedures
  • Prepare for and execute monitoring and testing of various compliance functions
  • Provide recommendations and enhancement actions in response to findings and/or shortfalls observed during monitoring and testing process, including development of action plans and timelines for improvements to policies and procedures
  • Thoroughly document testing results in writing, support the understanding of teams being reviewed, and escalate where appropriate
  • Review and document progress towards enhanced processes per monitoring and testing recommendation (including, where applicable, collecting supporting evidence of remediation)
  • Report observations and subsequent remediation updates to the CCO and Branch/Head Office senior management as necessary
  • Maintain a high degree of relevant knowledge with respect to BSA/AML/OFAC laws and regulations
  • Apply independent judgment in the identification and escalation of key BSA/AML/OFAC risks
  • Perform other compliance-related duties as requested

Skills and Experience Needed:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in the field of compliance
  • 1+ years of experience in monitoring and testing within a financial institution's compliance function or internal audit, with a strong emphasis on BSA/AML regulations preferred
  • CAMS certification preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws, codes and regulations relating to compliance (e.g. BSA/AML, OFAC / sanctions, KYC, regulatory compliance, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Corporate Banking and Financial Institutions business and relevant products/services (e.g. Letters of Credit, Trade Finance, Clearing)
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
