Job Description - Senior Compliance Consultant

Senior Compliance Consultant



Summary:





The Senior Compliance Analyst works closely with the Compliance/ BSA Officer to administer the BSA/Anti-Money Laundering Program as well as the Consumer Regulatory Compliance Program and related procedures in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures and applicable federal regulations.



Responsibilities

  • Complete the BSA/AML/OFAC Risk Assessments.
  • Complete the annual ID Theft Risk Assessment.
  • Responsible for completing the annual privacy mailing.
  • Conduct ongoing research on new laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance and assess the impact changes in laws and regulations.
  • Complete ongoing BSA investigations and prepare SARs as warranted.
  • Review and prepare Currency Transactions Report.
  • Complete quarterly high risk account reviews and report findings to the BSA Officer.
  • Perform a quarterly sample credit file documentation to assess quality of loan files
  • Review monthly KYC/CIP exception report and report findings to the BSA Officer.
  • Complete quarterly compliance monitoring.
  • Assist the Compliance/ BSA Officer is conducting risk assessments for new products and services.
  • Review new business accounts risk ratings for accuracy.
  • Investigate weekly system generated AML and Fraud alerts from Verafin.
  • Review individual customer account profiles in Verafin and adjust customer account activity thresholds appropriately.
  • Maintain the consumer complaint/ whistleblower log.
  • Maintain the SAR log up- to- date and current.
  • Complete monthly Politically Exposed Persons (  "PEPs ) account transaction reviews

KNOWELDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIIES:

  1. Maintain current knowledge of the Bank’s automated BSA, Anti-money laundering, and OFAC compliance systems.
  2. Maintain a working knowledge of Bank records and systems including, Client ,WireXchange, Verafin, Check For Risk, and Web capture.
  3. Must have a strong knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT ACT, OFAC and other anti-money laundering laws and regulations

Training and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist
  • Minimum of five (5) years banking experience including branch/platform experience and knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and Consumer Compliance regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency with Windows and Excel
  • Complete ongoing compliance training.
