Job Description - Marketing Coordinator

My Client is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to assist their Marketing team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the legal field and have demonstrated proficiency utilizing the Firm's applications. This position will report to Director of Marketing and Assistant Director of Marketing.


  • Coordinate in-person marketing and business development events –including sourcing venues, drafting invitations, tracking RSVPs, creating name tags, editing presentation slides, assembling handouts, identifying promotional items, handling shipments, and working registration tables.
  • Coordinate virtual marketing events – including invitations, presentation support, and hosting.
  • Oversee event sponsorship deliverables and deadlines.
  • Set up and distribute weekly email marketing campaigns.
  • Review and report on blog post readership, website traffic, and other data analytics.
  • Assist in tracking return-on-investment from marketing activities.
  • Update website and intranet.
  • Draft summaries of attorney press hits and speaking engagements.
  • Update marketing collateral materials (bios, practice group descriptions).
  • Update contact management database (ContactEase).
  • Assist in production of advertisements and event signage.
  • Assist in negotiating relationships with outside vendors.
  • Maintain records of marketing and business development spending and budgets.
  • Assist with Continuing Legal Education (CLE) event compliance and distribution of certificates.
  • Assist with RFP proposals, legal awards and rankings submissions.
  • Assist Director of Marketing and Assistant Director of Marketing with other tasks as assigned.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (writing sample and cover letter required).
  • Ability to communicate and interact with internal staff, attorneys, management and external clients of the firm.
  • Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively organize responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently (i.e., with minimal oversight).
  • Strong Interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel if needed.


  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience in the legal industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, WebEx, Zoom, Constant Contact, Google Analytics—with the ability to learn new software and operating systems.


  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Office environment – must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.
