Job Description - HR Assistant (Bilingual Spanish)


The assistant to HR Administrator is responsible for assuring agency compliance for all personnel with federal, state and local regulations, as well as agency's policies and procedures.

  • Assist with administration of the Agency's Human Resource Policies and Procedures.
  • Enters CHRC data into HPN if designated as an AP
  • Prints and files determination letters from CHRC if designated as an AP
  • Completes check for OMIG Exclusions upon hire
  • Checks active aides against OMIG exclusion list every 30 days
  • Sends out and follows up I-9 recertification notices
  • Follows up on annual physicals and PPDs
  • Completes profiles for contracts
  • Sends requested information from aide's file to contracts including certificates, registry profiles, etc
  • Enters data for Personal Assistant in CDPAP program
  • Reviews and reports missing documentation for in CDPAP program
  • Registers companions for Caring Companions and enters the data in Companion system
  • Checks HR general mailbox messages daily
  • Performs periodic internal audits of personnel files in office under supervision of HR Administrator
  • Screens new personnel profiles for compliance prior to attending agency's orientation program
  • Verifies references for new employees
  • Answers reference requests from other companies
  • Assists new hires in compliance
  • Receives completed evaluation and logs date of evaluation in computer on employee's profile screen
  • Notifies HR Administrator of past due evaluations
  • Runs appropriate computer programs to assist in tracking compliance
  • Attends meetings as deemed necessary
  • Reviews invoices from medical facilities and clinics for appropriate billing of employee health compliance


  • 6+ Months in a HR experience 
  • Bilingual Spanish
