Job Description - Director of Philanthropic Initiatives
The full-time position will be responsible for planning, implementing and supervising fundraising, major gifts and alumni programs designed to provide significant income to the organization.
Organize and implement a fundraising strategy, but not limited to the following:
Identify, cultivate and solicit major gifts for the organization
Manage and steward relationships for current donors and prospects
Identify and manage a targeted portfolio database of corporate partners and friends with the aim of the soliciting annual fund and major gifts
Develop strategies and plans for solicitations of prospective donors.
Oversees constituency and Alumni programming; education and outreach particularly through collaboration with the constituent colleges to promote increased alumni and donor engagement through various affinity groups and industries
Consult and advise on all fundraising activities. Provide the information necessary to set fundraising goals in conjunction with the Organization's needs.
As instructed, oversee and execute high yield advancement events, assist with the coordination of the Gala and Golf Outing
Develop and implement a social marketing strategy including web site, e-philanthropy, and direct mail in conjunction with the Marketing Department
Develop marketing materials, brochures and proposals in conjunction with the Marketing Department
Conduct prospect and donor research where applicable
Provide volunteers with plans, information and support services needed to be an effective fundraiser.
Implements the Graduway platform, will be the liaison between Graduway and the school easing its implementation into the alumni program
