Job Description - Global Supply Chain Manager

Global Supply Chain Manager





ICS is partnered with a growing industry leader in seafood distribution & wholesale; we are seeking a hands-on team player that will be directly responsible for coordinating global inbound shipments and the distribution to our customers in US & Canada.  This individual should be a motivated, self-starter with the ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment.



Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage, track & trace inbound shipments from our global supply base
  • Manage inventory levels against customer forecasts and projection
  • Negotiate rates and increase our network of partners, making sure that we are constantly evolving with the right network at/below market rates
  • Oversee product supply and logistics to ensure timely deliveries for customers
  • Uphold excellent customer satisfaction through a dedicated customer service approach and constant communication
  • Ensure operations are executed efficiently and within the terms our agreements with customers and suppliers
  • Field and resolve incoming customer complaints
  • Consistently seek new opportunities to partner with vendors that are in line with our brand and focus for the company
  • Maintain all fresh or frozen PO’s and create monthly reports of actual usage
  • Support Account Executives on logistics and provide forecasted rates for potential sales
  • Communicate with all freight forwarders, carriers, warehouses and customers in a professional and helpful manner
  • Track and maintain all fresh shipments to ensure on time delivery and minimize OS&D claims
  • Manage claims against carriers, suppliers, and other responsible parties
  • Collect orders from customers/sales department
  • Automate and streamline supply chain efficiencies and eliminate redundancies in the operations department
  • Reviewing and approving vendor invoices
  • Working daily to create additional efficiencies in the fresh logistics department, as well as, creating additional checks and balances
  • Follow processes and procedures to ensure proper lead times and on time deliveries
  • Identify and eliminate all overages and shortages on inventory, consistently working to reconcile any inventory discrepancies in a timely fashion
  • Be positive and always willing to help and assist in creating an environment that people enjoy working in
  • Design and implement new procedures for effective tracking and capturing of operations costs
  • Understand impact of operations on the business from a balance sheet and profit and loss perspective
