Job Description - HR Business Partner

The North America Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for managing various areas of human resources activities, systems, programs and functions such as employee relations, compensation, change management, talent management, organizational development, training, coaching/counseling, and recruitment. Responsible for working with Corporate HR, Company leaders, their direct reports and the employee population to drive the development, recommendation and implementation of Human Resources strategies to support success of the North America client group. This involves working with the matrixed HR team on multiple strategic projects & supporting multiple North America client groups.


  Recruitment: Develops appropriate staffing strategies, & activities to achieve business results (i.e. identify retention issues, develop recruiting strategy & ensure compensation practices are in line with market data.)

  Organizational Design: Responsible for supporting strategic organizational design and implementation supporting businesses.

  Onboarding: Develops onboarding plans for new employees in regard to 30, 60, 90 goals and administers new hire orientation

  Compensation: Responsible for communicating and administering various compensation related activities such as salary planning, bonus payout, options and salary adjustments.

  Employment Policy: Responsible for understanding, interpreting and communicating benefits and policy related changes to management and employees. Advises on US employment policies, practices and regulations

  Advisement: Provides HR perspective to business decisions and advises client groups on HR strategy, organization structure and talent review/planning.

  Talent Management: Supports the talent management process to identify key talent, plan talent development strategy and track progress of the key talent. Facilitates career development and succession planning process within assigned businesses including performance management process, coaching/feedback and compensation. Focuses on retention strategies to attract, retain and motivate professional talent.

  Employee Relations: Counsels management and employees on employee relation issues, performance management, career development and succession planning process. Identifies, counsels, & provides recommendations/feedback to employees & management on possible/current employee issues as a result of performance issues & decisions.

  Engagement: Drives engagement in client groups. Assists in preparation engagement action plans.


  Bachelor’s Degree; Master Degree is desired

  5-7 years of HR experience

  Experienced in employee relations, staffing, training, compensation and change management necessary.

  Strong critical analysis skills critical

  Strong excel and PowerPoint skills

  Solid presentation and public speaking skills

  Solid knowledge of Human Resources best practices is required as this position requires frequent interaction with employees, management and senior management regarding various human resources related issues.

  Strong ethical work style with a focus on confidentiality

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative nature
