Job Description - HR Coordinator

A well-known NYC Law Firm is seeking to add a Human Resources Coordinator to their growing team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with hiring managers and HR team to coordinate the staff recruiting process from start to finish including job description creation, posting, sourcing, agency outreach, scheduling, interviewing, and offer extension 
  • Perform pre-offer due diligence, including reference checking and background screenings
  • Conduct weekly staff New Hire Orientation, and assist with lawyer orientation as needed; prepare documentation for new hire orientation weekly and monitor Taleo for completion of paperwork
  • Liaise with vendors and HR team to execute standard agency agreements 
  • Coordinating sourcing efforts for business services staff Firmwide by leveraging social media platforms, job boards, and other innovative resources 
  • Leveraging social media platforms to create talent pipelines 
  • Evaluating new candidate sources including job fairs, job boards, and online services; identifying opportunities to streamline existing recruitment processes
  • Maintaining job description database and update as needed
  • Promoting the Firm's employee referral program and identify other strategic recruitment initiatives
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as creating HR scan files and scanning 
  • Other projects as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2-3 years of recruiting experience; prior experience at a recruiting agency a plus 
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and other recruiting platforms required 
  • Familiarity with Taleo or another applicant tracking system
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
  • Strong writing, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of management
  • Ability to easily shift priorities and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • High level of attention to detail
