Our client is seeking a Marketing Director for their Personal Insurance home and auto division. Working closely and collaboratively with Personal Insurance leadership, this role is responsible for defining, leading and executing on strategic marketing and communication initiatives to support the Personal Insurance division's business goals. Leading a team of marketing professionals, this role is a key hands-on partner with the sales, product and pricing teams and has a matrixed reporting role to the Personal Insurance leader.
Specific responsibilities include:
Analyze market trends, including focus on customers and competitors; develop and implement strategies and tactics to optimize Personal Insurance's marketing and positioning, and fulfill strategic objectives.
Provide strategic counsel and direction to sales, product and pricing partners on the full range of marketing and communications opportunities and issues.
Support the business with targeted marketing initiatives that focus on agent recruitment, retention and productivity, and policyholder satisfaction and retention.
Manage marketing and communication initiatives to related to effective and timely rollout of new and enhanced products.
Plan and manage agent incentive programs and trips that drive agent satisfaction and increased productivity.
Develop branded marketing collateral and promotional materials.
Oversight of brand presence on digital assets including social media sites and recruiting portals; track impact of leveraging digital/social media activity to achieve reputation goals.
Ensure that company messages and materials are accurate and consistent with branding strategy.
Identify, develop and implement marketing best practices, policies and procedures.
Develop and lead a team of marketers to improve their marketing and management competency and deliver desired business objectives.
Track, measure and report results with a focus on business outcomes.
Travel required (~40%).
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or similar discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience implementing marketing programs and leading marketing teams.
Home and auto insurance experience preferred.
Proven leadership in driving alignment to strategic brand vision within an organization.
Mix of demonstrated experience in marketing strategy, campaign development and execution, consumer insights, independent agency distribution channels, and brand management.
Excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills. Ability to address major business issues and provide thought leadership to the broader organization.
Ability to teach, manage, influence and motivate team members towards high performance to reach business goals.
Possess a keen sense of analytics and measurement for all activities to ensure results meet business objectives.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to provide timely, clear and concise information adapted to different levels and audiences within the organization. Ability to clearly communicate marketing priorities.
