My Client, a well-known organization is seeking to add a temporary Tax Searcher to their team.


This position produces junior level Tax Searches in printed and digital formats to obtain both the history and the current status of the real estate tax balances and public utility balances to real property. The searches produced consist of a summary of the material found in the public record and certifications obtained, as well as the operative portions of all conveyances, liens, charges, and liabilities that affect the property in its entirety. In addition, this hire uses a portion of their day to support the entire division by engaging in opening & distributing the department mail, clearing & distributing electronic faxes, and organizing the department checks/requests for information at the end of the day. Furthermore, the candidate must exhibit a high degree of self-motivation, organization, and acute attention to detail in an effort to manage many property requests under time constraints, as well as engage frequently in the office support role.


70% Organizes work sent daily to prioritize order of completion.
Completes all types of tax/utility search by researching (from within municipal records/certification, county tax information and school district and public utility authorities) all pertinent information about the requested property following established and accepted practice. Reviews all data for accuracy, noting any inconsistencies and clarifying all data reported. Submits all documentation to the office/processing within the allotted timeframe, including with all searches a completed report sheet with pertinent copies. Maintains regular communication with Customer Service Team so that information pertaining to client work is delivered on a timely basis.

2-4+ years tax search (or closely related experience- data entry, proof reading)
Able to complete all types of searches in the different geographical areas based on local practices, project work and analysis
Comfortable with Word, Excel, Outlook
Competent with internet use for internal systems and public County sites.
Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
Fine-tuned organizational and detail skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines; self-management & focus is a must.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
