Job Description - Senior Java/Scala Developer

$165,000



You will be involved in developing high quality, low maintenance software solutions using Test Driven Development for our key rates systems that are used by our global businesses. You will be adept at estimating work effort, improving existing processes and undertaking technology upgrades such as migrating to a new version of Angular. You will also be expected to provide knowledge on the latest technology and incorporate them into the portfolio.



Lastly, you will perform peer code reviews and participate as a member of a global distributed team. Our strong geographically dispersed development team will offer you the opportunity to learn from senior developers and grow with us. You will also be expected to effectively write product specification and technical documentation, participate in operational and support activities as a member of the DevOps team.



You will ideally have:

• 4+ years of experience in development
• practical experience in Core Java (1.8 or above preferred) or Scala or C++
• experience with automated testing frameworks
• knowledge of good software design and application architectural practices
• knowledgeable in using Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, OpenStack etc.)
• experience in RDBMS and SQL
• knowledgeable with SDLC tools (e.g. Bamboo, JIRA, GIT, Confluence)
