Job Description - Level 2 Support Specialist

TITLE: Technical Support Engineer

Location: Vernon Hills, IL

Compensation Range : ( 55K-60K )




Position Description

The technical support engineer will provide technical service and support for Vieworks' customers or potential customers. This primarily involves technical support for flat panel detectors using the software and providing demonstration of existing or newly release product, but also includes installation our product with related component to optimize medical solution for customers. This includes becoming familiar with both x-ray acquisition software as well as the internal structure of flat panel detector to the point of being able to provide basic operation training to our customers. The ultimate objective of the technical service is to provide outstanding customer support for any kinds of customers through providing best understanding about our product and service, and to effectively coordinate with the customer support team and sales management.



Responsibilities

  • Support for various technical verification and training
  • Support technical documentation and information that customers request
  • Respond to queries over the phone or email messages
  • Manage and resolve complex technical issues
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair technical problems on product
  • Provide technical support for digital imaging solutions through demonstration and presentation
  • Provide installation of the companies flat panel solution to the customer's system and solving the issue about interface with existing solution
  • Provide occasional remote training sessions for technicians/dealers
  • Follow up existing and new products and software revisions
  • Business travel may be expected

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required
  • At least 4 years of experience in technical service or customer support
  • Experience and knowledge in medical imaging business and x-ray system
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to present data in a clear and concise manner
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, results oriented
  • Adapt easily to change in a high stress environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency Windows Operating System, MS Office suite and Salesforce
