Job Description - Change Analyst

We require a hands-on individual with an excellent track record of target operating model designs and consultancy experience. The individual will identify optimal solutions using various analysis tools and techniques, enable swift decision making through recommendations and obtain buy-in from the stakeholders.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design and co-ordinate workshops with cross-functional SMEs to perform current state analysis and define changes to implement target operating model
  • Work with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders and external vendors to agree on the future roles, responsibilities and processes
  • Design, document and obtain approvals of business process workflows in an agreed format
  • Apply structured approach to problem solving and enable swift decision making by presenting options with recommendations
  • Work closely with sponsors and business areas to understand and translate business expectations into actionable requirements.
  • Contribute to business case preparation with project sponsors
  • Apply structured approach and various business analysis techniques: current state analysis (AS-IS), target operating model (TO-BE), gap analysis, cost vs benefit, etc.
  • Develop effective relationships across the business and effectively manage stakeholders
  • Challenge conventional wisdom and freely express own opinion
  • Contribute to defining and continuously improving best practice for Americas Group Change
  • Provide subject matter expertise and recommend appropriately pragmatic approaches/solutions
  • Influence the approach for programmes through best practice input, subject-matter expertise and experience and the injection of innovative ideas and ways of thinking
  • Operate as a collaborative leader for the rest of the team through attitude, contribution and use of the agile or lean methods

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Financial Services experience gained ideally in investment management, in one or more of the following areas:
       
    • Preferable:  Fixed Income Investment & Operations, Separately Managed Accounts (SMA)
    •  
    • Desirable:
         
      • Front Office processes as they apply to Equity, Fixed Income and Multi Asset business domains
      •  
      • Middle and Back Office processes as they apply to Equity, Fixed Income and Multi Asset business domains
      •  
      • Corporate functions required to support the running of an Asset Management organisation: Risk, Finance, Procurement, HR, Legal and Compliance
      •  
  • Understanding of business change analysis techniques and change management skills, gained through experience of working in enterprise change or consultancy teams
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering integrated business and technology and change using Agile methodologies
  • An expert in delivering mature operations, ideally using typical lean management approaches and tools such as value stream mapping, target operating model, voice of the customer, model offices, key performance indicators and analysis
  • An expert understanding of change management disciplines, processes and tools, including:

       
    • experience of each of the key stages of change delivery
    •  
    • planning and progress tracking mechanisms
    •  
    • effective means of monitoring and managing issues, risks and dependencies
    •  
    • strong analysis and reporting skills
    •  
    • managing stakeholders
  • An expert understanding and experience of implementing continuous improvement at various levels of an organisation
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own activities in the best interests of the organisation
  • Builds trusting relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Able to build consensus and influence outcomes, including adapting communication style to suit audience
  • Strong communication skills - written, pictorial, presentational and verbal at all levels within the organisation, especially with senior stakeholders
  • Experience of working with global colleagues and stakeholders and sensitivity to cultural differences and time zones
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
