Job Description - Product Manager- Payments

TITLE: Product Manager- Payments Platform 

Location:Long Island City, NY (hybrid- 2 days per week onsite)   

The Product Manager will serve as a collaborative product leader, with a user-centric mindset that leads the vision, product planning, product management, go-to-market strategies and operational support focused on enhancing the organization’s payments platform. Work closely with Global Payments Solutions team. Act as a mediator between the consumers and the technical teams, communicating consumer needs and translating those needs into new product features for the team to design. 

What You’ll Do:    

• Envision, define, communicate, and drive the strategy, roadmap and timeline for payments platform and other product lines that add value to members and business units.

  Clearly communicate product plans, benefits and results to a wide range of internal stakeholders.

  Manage teams of multiple stakeholders to identify, recommend, and prioritize product solutions 

  according to strategic business goals and metrics.

  Gain a deep understanding of the members and business, identify product gaps, and generate new 

  ideas to improve member experience and drive growth. 

  
  




• 
  

  Collaborate with developers, business, and marketing teams to develop well-crafted user experiences 

  and to make the product a success. 

  
  




• 
  

  Work closely with all our teams to translate product enhancements into detailed requirements and 

  prototypes for testing, delivering quick time-to-market products.

  Create and maintain product artifacts, including product guide, release plans and training material. 

  
  




• 
  

  Support the full product lifecycle through research, discovery, experimentation and delivery. 

  
  




• 
  

  Drive product launches, collaborating across the business to develop and align on a go-to-market plan. 

  
  




• 
  

  Create transition plan and work with support teams and business units during the transition process. 

  
  




• 
  

  Promote Agile product management processes, and develop detailed presentations, requirements, 

  product backlog, user stories, project plans and use cases, accounting for all scenarios of a product 

  release.

  Perform data-driven prioritization of features that meet audience and business needs; set minimal 

  viable product releases. 

  
  




• 
  

  Serve as go-to-person for IT and business units on product features, issues and priorities. 

  
  




• 
  

  Define success and ensure that we are measuring it correctly; monitor and analyze metrics for 

  launched products, and feed learnings back into the development process. 

  
  




• 
  

  Work collaboratively with other Product Managers in the team on improving the standards and 

  process. 

  
  




• 
  

  Take direction from cross-functional leaders and execute activities as per established processes. 

  
  




• 
  

  Participate and contribute in department and organization-wide initiatives. 

  
  




• 
  

  Proactively measure and understand how members and staff interact with the products. 

  
  

   

Skills / Experience You Will Need:    

• Bachelor’s degree and more than two years of direct experience in software product management. Overall, 5+ years of experience in designing, developing, and deploying web-based products using Agile/Scrum methodologies 

  
  




• 
  

  Experience in cross-border payment processing is a plus 

  
  




• 
  

  Experience with any type of payment processing systems (ACH, wires, mobile wallets) is a plus 

  
  




• 
  

    Exposure to OFAC and other financial regulations are a plus 

  
  




• 
  

  Experience in Business Process Modeling and Process Improvement is a plus 

  
  




• 
  

  Demonstrated ability to conceive and iterate product feature requirements based on data, analytics, 

  and strategy 

  
  




• 
  

  Experience defining or understanding business metrics that measure the effectiveness of products
