Job Description - Production Support Analyst



Responsibilities

  • Provide Level -2 technical support to member firms primarily during trading hours
  • Establish and maintain relationships with member's technical teams, via face-to-face visits, conference calls, emails and webinar when appropriate
  • Communicate upcoming and existing technical changes to member community
  • Work with members to ensure conformance to technical specification
  • Ensure member test environments are functioning as expected and accessible to members during the hours communicated
  • Understand member's technical profiles, so much as to be in a position to recommend changes which will enhance members ability to participate and stay competitive in markets
  • Provide input to other technical and business teams which will assist in the design, testing and implementation of member impacting changes
  • Responsible for participating and supporting technical on-boarding program
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production
  • Collaborate with Development partners to prioritize bug fixes and support test tools requirements



 Knowledge and Experience

  • 5+ years' experience in production support or application development in the financial services industry
  • 5+ years' experience with FIX protocol
  • 3+ years' experience with scripting language [e.g. python, shell]
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Working knowledge of Linux
  • Equities and Derivatives product knowledge
  • Good understanding of programming fundamentals
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in supporting Equity derivatives Risk & Trade management platforms
  • Strong software and business systems design, analysis, development and support skills preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship / teamwork skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) in English, providing clear problem descriptions
  • Proven complex problem solving/management skills and a strong eye for detail
  • Proactive individual showing eagerness to learn and a strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to handle multiple competing tasks in an ordered manner, prioritizing to ensure business deliverables are met even under stressful situations
  • Exhibit leadership behavior which supports the business and technology goals through creative thinking and strong problem management
